Two desks and a small table were created simply by tossing around a few of the geometric forms that were implied by the rhythmical patterns used in the Camarillo Project. The furniture was fabricated of MDF covered with rift white oak veneers, black matte plastic laminate and etched copper.

Etching the copper took experimentation to an intriguing level. Various chemical solutions were mixed and applied multiple ways to sheets of copper that were used to clad some of the geometric forms.

None of the results matched those in the formula guide. It was simply and wait and see sort of thing. The spatter patterns were obtained by applying chemical soaked sawdust to the copper and allowing it to develop over several days. The other patterns were obtained by immersing copper sheets into two different vats of chemicals and letting them soak for about a week.
